Welcome to Project Publish

Our Mission

Project Publish is a nonprofit that believes in the power of inspiration and growth through storytelling.  We provide support, education, and encouragement to schools and young authors so they can grow, explore, and create while demystifying the world of authorship and publishing.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of programs to support our schools, students, and communities. We work with students to build the skills of storytelling through our lessons and activities.  We also offer the opportunity for students from each cohort to enter a writing contest where the winner is awarded a publishing package for their novella.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Impact: The Work of Project Publish

Research has shown that when students receive writing instruction, their reading fluency and comprehension improve.

“We need to be thinking about reading and writing reciprocally,” said Dana Robertson, an associate professor of reading and literacy in the School of Education at Virginia Tech.

“The evidence is clear: writing can be a vehicle for improving reading” (p. 6).
